Diet Support for Compulsive 0vereating

Dear Editor,

I gained 40 pounds over the last 4 months due to overeating and not having time to exercise. I've recently gone back to a low fat diet and started exercise again but after several weeks, I haven't lost a pound. I'm disappointed and I need a quick fix. What should I do?

Answer:

Dear Need Help,

Losing weight is not a quick fix proposition. Continue to exercise and eat 3 to 5 meals a day. Eliminate junk food and don't starve yourself to lose weight. Be patient, the weight will come off. Most people get disappointed AND GIVE UP because the weight doesn't magically fall off within a few weeks. Your body needs time to adjust.

Exercise and proper eating is a lifestyle that should be enjoyable as well as accommodating to your busy schedule. When you get these 2 things right, the weight loss will follow. You may not lose weight instantly but it will come off in due time.

Thanks to technology, we live in an instant society where we expect instant results. The problem is that no quick fix solution has been discovered for losing weight though the weight loss (diet pill) industry would like you to think differently.

Eating habits are extremely powerful. Develop a habit of eating meals that are planned and nothing more. This will help guard against and binging.

An excellent way to guard against compulsive overeating is to have a good diet plan that allows you plenty of flexibility. We specialize in personal diet plans that help you lose 1 to 2 pounds each week. To get started, please click personal diet plan.
