There is approximately 3,500 calories
per pound of fat. In order to lose 10 pounds, you need to
burn extra 35,000 calories. There's little chance that you
will burn 35,000 more calories within a few days.
That's why a good dieing plan that incorporates a
calorie restriction is a good idea.
Because there's 3,500 calories per
pound of fat, you should plan on burning 3,500 to 7,000
calories per week to lose 1 to 2 pounds. The only way to
make this happen is to eat less calories through
good dieting or exercise more
to burn excess calories. Preferably both.
To lose weight at a realistic rate,
most women with low activity level should stay on a diet that's between
1200 and 1400 calories. The average inactive women of 150
pounds burns 2000 calories per day.
To lose 1 to 2 pounds per week, your calorie deficit should be around 500 calories per day. 7 days x 500 calories per day = 3,500 calories or 1 pound of fat. There's no magic way to lose
weight. Calories must be controlled and increasing
non-strenuous exercise such as walking is the way to go.
Otherwise, you'll just waste money on dieting products
that require you to simply take a pill to lose weight.
